To meet the water needs of its diverse population of more than 2 million, Central Basin MWD has developed an extensive network of local, state and federal partnerships to pull people and resources together to deliver successful solutions.  Central Basin MWD provides approximately 60,000 acre-feet per year of imported water to supplement local supplies and approximately 25,000 acre-feet per year of replenishment water for the Central Groundwater Basin.  With its focus on public service, Central Basin MWD works closely with cities and community-based organizations to identify innovative ways to enhance regional water reliability and quality.
